CogNovo research fellow Frank Loesche participated at this years Convention of the American Psychological Association (APA) at the Moscone Center in downtown San Francisco. In particular the tracks organised by the Division 10 of the APA, the Society for the Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, & the Arts were closely related to the psychological aspects of Frank's work. Just the week before he had presented results from a novel experimental paradigm at the SOU Creativity Conference. There in Ashland, Frank had suggested a model that provided additional explanatory power for observed creative processes, for the experimental paradigm as well as the data collected in interviews with Architects. The convention in San Francisco gave Frank the opportunity to continue the discussion and further connect with researchers from the US American community.
At the same time he was collecting data with the “RE/ME” experience just a few minutes away. Discussions at the convention and about “RE/ME” cross-fertilised each other and highlighted the importance of multiple disciplinary work and the connection between the Arts and the Sciences.
