Develop a lattice theoretical interpretation of schemata and find applications for this theory in the areas of generative music, computational neuroscience, formal grammars and genetic algorithms.
I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Artificial Intelligence. My research has been focused on Computational Neuroscience, specifically: mining the structure of neural networks to acquire information about the activity of neurons within them. In addition, I was involved in developing a biological model of neuronal mechanotransduction.
I am also very passionate about music. I perform regularly in my home town (Edinburgh) as well as writing and recording my own music. During my time working on Cognovo Project #17, my aim is to tie my research interests together with my love for music and hopefully learn something about the mechanisms involved in creativity .
