Professor Sue Denham, principal investigator for CogNovo, was invited to attend a special meeting at the EU for co-ordinators of Marie-Curie Doctoral training networks. Held in the main EU Commission building, Charlemagne, in the heart of the European Quarter in Brussels, Sue was joined by coordinators from 130 other projects to discuss the practical issues involved in running these types of networks as well as hearing about the experiences of other coordinators. The visit also gave Professor Denham the opportunity to meet CogNovo’s project officer and to get a sense of the breadth, quality and importance of the training networks funded under the Marie-Curie programme.
